Enjoying a noteworthy career backstopping six different NHL clubs despite going undrafted, Curtis Joseph attended the University of Wisconsin for one season before making his NHL debut for St Louis, in 1989-90. The first goaltender to register thirty (30) or more wins with five (5) different teams, "CuJo" would spend five (5) seasons wearing the blue and white of the Maple Leafs during his career, including the 1999-00 season in which he posted a stat line of 36-20-7 in 63 games played. Earning Vezina Trophy nominations that season, offered here is this photo-matched Maple Leafs jersey worn by Joseph during the 1999-00 campaign. Made by CCM and displaying "Goalie Style", size "58" and "NHL Player" labels that have been affixed to the inner collar, both the NHL shield and CCM logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a familiar Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into it, the right breast sports both the NHL2000 and 2000 NHL All-Star Game crests. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Joseph's number "31" in stacked tackle twill numerals, "Joseph" has been spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse while matching alternate logo crests have been added atop of both shoulders. Having had a Maple Leafs team tag sewn inside the reverse hem that denotes the piece as being a "Limited Edition 1999-2000 Game Worn Set 2" offering, matching what is stated in the accompanying Maple Leafs LOA that is signed by equipment manager, Brian Papineau, the jersey retains its original fight strap on the interior as well. Displaying excellent game-use via puck marks over the front and both sleeves as well as red post paint transfer marks over both sleeves as well, additional wear is observed via pilling at the end of both cuffs, blue coloured board burn like marks over the right elbow area, under the front crest and at the lower reverse, a small unrepaired hole under the front crest and finally, light pilling around the elbow reinforcements on the interior.
Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched with Joseph's 2000-01 Pacific card that shows a match to the small now partially washed out puck mark on the inside of the left sleeve above the top blue stripe.
