Alternating seasons between the CHL and AHL, Craig Reichmuth then spent parts of three seasons in the WHA including 1972-73 with the New York Raiders (73 games), 1973-74 with the New York Golden Blades/Jersey Knights (72 games), and 1974-75 with the San Diego Mariners (28 games) and Michigan Stags/Baltimore Blades (16 games). The Russell, Manitoba native concluded his career with seasons in the NAHL and WIHL. This Raiders jersey from the club’s lone season in 1972-73 was worn by Reichmuth, and it remains all original and unaltered/unrestored! Gerry Cosby labeling is affixed to the tie-neck collar along with a laundering tag and size “48” swatch. Styled with a completely embroidered Raider team crest, “11” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Reichmuth” across the upper reverse in matching material. The original tie-string is gone, with the fight strap intact. Showing wear to the material throughout including marks, pulls, pilling and burns, there is puckering to the reverse number, with team repairs situated on the front (1), reverse (3) and sleeves (3). A true find as one of few all original single-season Raiders jerseys in existence, this specimen would enhance literally any advanced jersey or WHA collection.
