Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Suffering a career-ending injury while still in his 20s, Chris Murray was selected by the Montreal Canadiens at the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, and enjoyed parts of three seasons with the Habs before being traded to Hartford, in 1996-97. This Canadiens jersey was worn by the Port Hardy native in 1996-97, his final season with the club. A size “56” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the reverse hem. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, “22” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Murray” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Exhibiting light game use, there are a few washed-out marks visible, with red paint transfer over the left sleeve and a small slit near the right cuff. There is also a bit of minor staining over the lower reverse. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, a Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
