Three-time Norris Trophy winner Chris Chelios was acquired by Detroit on March 23rd 1999 in a trade with Chicago and would spend the following nine seasons in Detroit winning the Stanley Cup in 2002 and 2008. The Red Wings "1998-99 Authentic Game Jersey 2nd Set" team patch is screened in red inside the rear tail. Center Ice and Nike size “52” tags are affixed to the collar, with additional Nike and NHL crests on the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the classic embroidered winged-wheel team crest, the solid white V-neck has been accented with attractive single twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Chelios” arching across the upper reverse in matching material. Nice game wear includes two team repairs on the left sleeve and four other sewing fixes on the right sleeve. Both sleeves and the front of the jersey display numerous black marks. Hailing from the Michael Wexler collection, the jersey comes with a Red Wings COA.
