Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Hailing from the fantastic “Showdown” TV challenges of the mid-to-late-1970s that featured NHL All-Stars competing in pre-taped penalty shot competitions and mini-games broadcast during intermission of Hockey Night in Canada, we have an “NHL Showdown” jersey worn by netminder Chico Resch. A Ravens Knit label is affixed to the collar, with the vintage white mesh jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 48. Featuring a worn and slightly warped team crest, “1” appears over the verso in blue-over-red layered tackle twill, with “Resch” over the upper reverse in matching material. The jersey sports light wear, with most of the blue colouring worn away from the team crest. There are also rust-coloured stains near the front collar and over the reverse, with some discolouration near the right cuff.
