Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Celebrating the earlier part of the Original Six era, we have a post-war Chicago Stadium program originating from a Black Hawks and Detroit Red Wings match-up in 1947-48, signed by members of both squads. Fully administered in pencil, all twenty-six signatures have been placed over the front cover, with a total of nine HOF members accounted for including a youthful Gordie Howe, Red Kelly, Harry Lumley, Bill Quakenbush, and Black Jack Stewart for the Stanley Cup-finalist Red Wings, as well as Roy Conacher, Cat Francis, Bill Gadsby and Bud Poile for the boys from The Windy City. The signatures display nicely against both the lighter and darker backgrounds, with the program itself exhibiting moderate handling wear, with the center line-up detached but intact. The additional signers include Guidolin, McGraig, Reise, Pavelich, Morrison, Gottselig, Goldham, Prystai, Kaleta, Hamill, Dickens, Brown, Gaye Stewart and a few others. A JSA auction LOA will accompany.
