Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2006-07 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
An especially noteworthy season for Habs netminder Carey Price, the 2014-15 campaign witnessed the BC native do what few netminders have, winning the Hart Memorial, Jennings, Vezina and Ted Lindsay awards all within the same season. We have a Canadiens jersey worn by Price during the 2014-15 NHL season. “Goalie Style” labeling along with a “58” size tag grace the collar beneath handwritten “4-2”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the famous partially-embroidered CH team crest, the “Home Set 4-2” V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the Jean Beliveau memorial “4” crest over the right breast. The team patch (A03810) sits on the inside hem, while a hologram numbered “GU14958” has been affixed to the reverse “1”, with a matching LOA from the Canadiens to accompany.
With just a pair of dark marks over the front including a small example within the lower-middle white striping band, the jersey remains in outstanding condition.
