This rare and exclusive gold ring was presented by the Montreal Canadiens to commemorate the great Habs dynasty that won five straight Stanley Cups from 1956-60. It was a special night at the Montreal Forum in 1984 when the 12 players who were part of all five Cup wins were reunited with legendary coach Toe Blake. HOFers Maurice and Henri Richard, Beliveau, Harvey, Moore, Geoffrion, Johnson and Blake all received this special ring, along with Provost, Marshall, Turner and Talbot. This treasure was awarded to Camille DesRoches, the Canadiens' long-time publicity director. The miniature Stanley Cup on the tableau is surrounded by "Cinq Coupes Stanley Consecutives" on the bezel. The left shank features the NHL shield. Above it are 19 and 60, while below the years 1957, 1958 and 1959 appear in relief. The right shank has "1956" and "C. Desroches" above a sculpted Canadiens logo. The ring weighs about 19 grams, with "Everest" and "10K" stamped inside its size-9 1/2 band. Worn with obvious pride by Camille, with smoothing of the raised-gold on the shanks, light scratches and marks on the band, it remains a rare wonder to behold. Originally obtained from the DesRoches family, a Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
