Heavily collected and the most desirable of the team logo pucks used by the NHL, we have a collection of 4 vintage “Original Six” Art Ross NHL game pucks, making up two thirds of a complete ensemble. First used after the second series of Art Ross NHL pucks with rubberized orange logos, these pucks first featured team logos and saw use beginning in 1958. Included, we have a Chicago Black Hawks puck from the first series issued from 1958 to 1962, followed by New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens examples from 1962-64. Lastly, we have a Boston Bruins Converse puck from 1967-68. The team logos and Art Ross labels all display beautifully, with light to moderate wear to the pucks themselves.
The Bruins puck exhibits a few cuts across the team logo, as well as blemishes along the side and a small gouge facing the Art Ross label side. The Black Hawks puck shows a bit of wear to the team logo, with white discolouration along the side. The Rangers puck exhibits very light wear including a few minor cuts, with just a few dark specks to the team logo. Lastly, the Canadiens puck shows a few dark specks to both the team logo and Art Ross label, with a few cuts and slices to the side along with some minor discolouration.
