The Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher, is among the three British Prime Minister autographed photos featured here. Thatcher, who served as PM from 1979-90, signed her photo during her tenure, as per our consignor, who claims the same for the photo signed by John Major, her successor, who served as PM from 1990-97. Also included is a photo signed by Tony Blair, who served as PM from 97-2007. Thatcher, who died in 2013, placed her elegant black fountain pen signature below a 5x4 black-and-white portrait photo of herself on the bottom margin of the 8x6 white matte backing. Included is a letter dated “4 June 1985” on “10 Downing Street” “From the Private Secretary” letterhead with the recipient’s name handwritten, and signed by Mark Addison in blue ballpoint, stating that a signed photograph of the Prime Minister which she has asked me to forward to you with her best wishes” is enclosed. Major placed a bold blue fountain pen ink autograph beneath a 6 1/2" x 5” black-and-white portrait photo of himself on the bottom margin of the 9 1/2" x 6 1/2” white matte backing. Included is a letter on “10 Downing Street” “With the compliments of” letterhead with an unidentified notation and blue ink signature. Blair signed in bold black marker on the upper right portion of a 6” x 4 1/2" color portrait photo Agfa print. Included is a “The Labour Party” “with compliments” enclosure.
