Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Playing in each and every game against the Soviets in 1972 and contributing five points, Brad Park scored in the series-clinching Game 8, he assisted on the game-winning goal in Game 2, and assisted on Yvan Cournoyer's game-tying goal in Game 8. This stick was used by the Toronto native at the 1972 Canada-Russia Series. A Sher-Wood Tex-n-Wrap model with "Park" and "2" stamped to the upper shaft, the original spiral tape job remains on the handle and four-strand pattern to the blade, with a date stamp to the lower underside of "30 JUIN 1972". Nice game-use is shown with wear to the blade at the heel and near the toe where there is some minor chipping, with additional wear to the tape on the blade and handle. This model is distinguishable as a 1972 Team Canada stick by both the date stamp and the fact that sticks used in 1972 by Park with the Rangers have "Gerry Cosby" supplier stamps.
