Perhaps best remembered for his famed “Mayday Goal” in the opening round of the 1993 playoffs against Boston, Brad May would suit up for 1041 NHL games over his career with 425 being with Buffalo. Hailing from the same season as that goal is this Sabres road jersey worn by May. Made by CCM, the inner collar features Maska Ultrafil and size “54” tagging. The front showcases the iconic Sabres crest while the Stanley Cup Centennial patch has been sewn on the right breast. Stylized with May’s number “27” in dual-layer tackle twill on the sleeves and reverse, “May” is spelt across a matching nameplate in single layer yellow twill. The shoulders have matching Sabres team crest patches. The reverse hem has embroidered CCM and NHL shield logos. Game wear is found on the lower front, back and the sleeves of the jersey in the form of stick marks, board burns, paint transfers, and small unrepaired cuts. A certificate of authenticity from the Sabres will accompany the piece.
