Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
One of baseball’s most storied and venerated clubs, the Boston Red Sox were founded in 1901 as a charter member of the American League, claiming the inaugural World Series championship just two years later in 1903. We have a multi-signed baseball featuring 7 deceased Beantown legends that all spent time with the Red Sox in the 1930s or 1940s, including HOFer Bobby Doerr. A Rawlings Official American League sphere from the presidency of Gene Budig, 7 have signed in two different inks including Doerr, along with Dave Ferriss, Don Gutteridge, Eddie Pellagrini, Charlie Wagner, Roy Partee and the namesake of Fenway’s right field foul pole, Johnny Pesky. The signatures display well with a single smudge mark over the Wagner and Partee examples, with just some even toning to the ball itself. An LOA from PSA/DNA will accompany.
