Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
The greatest defenseman in NHL history, Bobby Orr led the Big, Bad Bruins to two Stanley Cup wins and claimed the Norris Trophy for eight straight seasons from 1968-75. Orr’s well-worn original tape job remains on the knob of his mid-1970s Boston Bruins Victoriaville gamer, which has his famous No. “4” handwritten and underlined just below it in blue marker. The factory name stamp reads “BBY ORR” beneath that on the upper shaft, while the “Vic” accent stripe sits low on the shaft with part of the upper silver stripe hanging loose. Game use includes some red goalpost paint transfer low on the shaft of this gorgeous crack-free Bobby Orr game-used stick.
