Bringing a certain “Broad Street Bully” element to Detroit during his tenure, Bob Probert proved to be hard as nails, and was recognized as one of the toughest players in modern history while also adept at putting the puck in the net. Signing with the Chicago Blackhawks after nine seasons in the Motor City and playing the final seven (7) seasons of his NHL career in Chicago, offered here is this pair of gloves worn by Probert as a member of the Blackhawks in the mid-1990s, circa the 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons. Made by Cooper and in Chicago's black, white and red colours, Cooper logos are screened over the cuffs of each glove and has become tacky/sticky overtime while Cooper patches are sewn on to the underside of each wrist as well. With the original laces still present and fed through the eyelets of each wrist, both gloves show moderate wear with rubbing to each palm that is fairly even on both gloves, though a hole is observed near the tip of the left middle finger, and stick/slash marks over the outside as well. One of the greatest enforcers of all-time that tragically passed too soon, Probert has signed over the thumb of each glove with silver marker ink signatures that display without issue through it should be mentioned that the autograph on the right glove sports a very small amount of light smudging near the beginning of it.
