Billy Smith’s awesome photo-matched 1982-83 Islanders game-worn jersey from the height of their great Stanley Cup dynasty displays solid game wear including team repairs! Smith and Rollie Melanson won the William Jennings Trophy as the Islanders goalie tandem posted the NHL’s lowest goals-against-average. A 1983 game photo of Smith talking on ice with Melanson offers the matches, including the team repair and fold upwards and inwards on the left edge of the multi-twill team crest, and the diagonal mark on the orange stripe on the right front tail. Sandow SK logo is heat-screened in white vinyl on the right rear tail while the flag tag in the back of the neck is completely washed out. There are four team repairs on the underside and back of the upper left sleeve and two more on the blue stripe in the middle of the rear tail. More game wear shows in black marks on the front and both sleeves, and red paint transfer on the left shoulder. Comes with Billy Smith’s signed LOA.
