One of the most notable defensive defensemen of the 1970s, Bill White would play in a total of 604 National Hockey League games over the course of his career after developing with the Toronto Marlboros of the OHA. Also having played in over 400 American Hockey League contests and a member of Team Canada at the famed 1972 Summit Series agains the Soviet Union where he posted two (2) points in seven (7) games played, offered here is this stick used by White during the 1971-72 season as a member of the Black Hawks that has been signed by eleven (11) members of that years squad. A Northland Custom Pro model with "White" stamped over the shaft, additional stamps from "Larson Industries" and team supplier "Gunzo's" grace each side as well. With most of the foil accent sticker that was added over the lower shaft now lost to time, the stick retains its original tape job of white over the handle/knob and black around the black. Displaying game-wear via a few marks and abrasions over the untaped sections of the blade as well as the heel and lower shaft, other various marks and abrasions are present throughout the length of the shaft as well. Additionally, it is worth noting for accuracy that there is a chip to the wood on forehand side of the blade near the bottom edge. Having been signed by eleven (11) members of the 1971-72 Chicago Black Hawks over both sides in blue or black ballpoint pen ink, those that have signed include deceased HOFer Tony Esposito as well as Dennis Hull, Danny O'Shea, Pat Stapleton, Bill White, Bryan Campbell, Darryl Maggs, Billy Reay (coach), Jim Pappin, Doug Jarrett and one other with all the autographs remaining legible despite some showing fading from age.
