Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015

An amateur scout currently for the Carolina Hurricanes, Bert Marshall joined the New York Rangers after being traded from California on March 4th 1973, and ended up only playing in 8 regular season and 6 playoff games before being drafted by the cross-town Islanders in the 1973 intra-league draft. This tie-neck NY Rangers jersey was game-worn by Marshall during his short stint with the team. With Cosby and size 50 tagging on the inner hem and garter-style fight strap, “Rangers” and “Marshall” have been sewn directly onto the jersey. With little noticeable wear other than a team repair and black stick mark on the lower front and a small black mark on the upper right sleeve, this should be expected as Marshall only spent the previously mentioned 14 games in total with the Blueshirts, making this high grade sweater absolutely perfect for display.
