Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Originating from his first stint in the City of Brotherly Love, we have a stick used by HOFer Bernie Parent during the inaugural season of the Philadelphia Flyers, in 1967-68. A Northland Pro Glass Fused model, “Parent” appears over the shaft along with handwritten “2”, with stamps on both sides of the shaft from team supplier Mitchell & Ness. The original black tape remains over the blade, paddle and knob, with a piece of clear tape added over the lower paddle to secure a loose strand. Thorough use is obvious, with wear and minor chipping to the heel section, along with additional wear to the taped section of blade. There are also a few marks to the paddle and shaft, with a letter from the Flyers fan who obtained the stick during the 1967-68 season to accompany.
