Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
The Canada Cup stayed home in 1991 for the fourth time in five tournaments. Wayne Gretzky led all scorers with 12 points, despite missing Game 2 of Canada’s two-game sweep of the United States in the final. “Coupe Canada Cup” is spelled out around the bezel of this tremendous 10-karat gold ring presented to Barrie Stafford, Team Canada 1991’s head equipment manager. There are five diamonds set below the stylized maple leaf on the tableau. “Stafford” is stamped on the right shank, and “1991” is stamped on the left shank. "Jostens 10K" is stamped inside the size 10 3/4 band. Preserved in magnificent condition with very light scratches to the band. Comes with Barrie Stafford’s signed LOA.
The first four diamonds from the left are clear and the fifth, the farthest to the right, is a gold-colored diamond.
