Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
The first overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Auston Matthews has been the corner stone of the Maple Leafs franchise since the first moment he donned the blue and white, winning the Calder Memorial Trophy in 2017 and the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2022. Also winning the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy on three (3) occasions (2021, 2022 and 2024), potting sixty-nine (69) goals during the 2023-24 season, Matthews would post another four (4) points in five (5) games played during the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Boston Bruins. Offered here, and hailing from his aforementioned sixty-nine (69) goal season is this pair of skates worn by Matthews in games on November 24th @ Chicago and November 25th @ Pittsburgh. CCM made FT6 Pro model boots that measure out to a size 9.5 for their efforts, the skates are decorated with custom "AM34" graphics that feature the Toronto skyline on the inside of each boot as well as Leafs logos over both heels. With additional graphics listing some of Auston's career achievements on the inside of each boot as well, the skates retain their original insoles and laces as well as their original Ramonedge blades which have been laser etched with "Matthews #34". Remaining in overall excellent condition and showing light use via some puck marks over the blade holders and scuffs/abrasions to the graphics and toe caps, the skates come accompanied by a Maple Leafs LOA and have been photo-matched with Getty Image #1823029055 (November 25th, 2023 vs Pittsburgh) to puck marks seen over both blade holders as well as wear/scuffs/abrasions to the graphics on the inside of the left skate. Of note, a piece of white tape has been added over the left toe cap which has had the dates of the games the skates were worn in penned over it.
