A veteran of twelve (12) National Hockey League seasons who suited up for the Ottawa Senators and New York Islanders, serving as a captain with each team during his time with the clubs, Alexei Yashin would receive his initial fame for being the first draft pick in the history of the expansion Ottawa Senators, having his name called second overall at the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. Putting up a total of seventy-nine (79) points during his first season in the NHL, offered here is this Senators jersey worn by Yashin during his rookie season of 1993-94. Made by CCM and featuring a size "56" fly tag affixed to the inner collar, the Maska Ultrafil tag that was once attached alongside it has been torn out, a trait on most Senators jerseys from this season. Having had the logos of both CCM and the NHL embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Senators team crest that features embroidered and textured details throughout while the sleeves and verso have had Yashin's number "19" sewn to them in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals. Having had "Yashin" spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate, the Russian born sniper has signed over the right collar bone of the jersey with a large gold ink signature that displays without issue. Accompanied by a Senators COA, the jersey displays with good game-wear in the form of stick marks throughout the front and both sleeves while a couple of small board burns and a small unrepaired hole are seen over the right sleeve as well. Of note, a couple of light spot stains are observed in the front crest as well that are worth noting for accuracy.
