With 26 goals scored and witnessed by over 18,000 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, the 2001 NHL All-Star contest featured Team North America battling the best the rest of the world could muster. The game was also noteworthy as Mario Lemieux would make his last appearance in an all-star jersey. This Team World jersey was one of five issued to Alexander Mogilny for either the photo-shoot, warm-up or for one of the three periods. CCM tagging along with a size 54 fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and NHLPA crests on the back bottom hem, along with a CCM patch over the back neckline. Styled with an attractive NHL shield crest in black and silver with the 2001 All-Star Game crest placed just above, the solid red sweater has been accented with triple-twill numbers. A Devils patch sits over the right shoulder, with a Russian flag symbolizing nationality on the left. Issued and not worn, the jersey remains in absolutely stunning condition. We should also note that the fight strap has an NHL inventory code of “AAA391” sewn-on, with this indicating the garments previously mentioned status as being one of 5 issued for the event. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
