The top American Hockey League affiliate for the NHL’s Quebec Nordiques from 1988 to 1993, the Halifax Citadels compiled a franchise win-loss record of 170-177-53 in their five-season history. Offered here, is this collection of ten (10) AHL Halifax Citadels game-worn jerseys dating to the late-1980s and early-1990s. All made by CCM with Maska tagging affixed to the inner collar, seven (7) of the jerseys are size “54” specimens while the other three (3) carry size “52” identifiers. Decorated over the front with the Citadels team crest that features embroidered details and the PHPA 25th patch over the right breast on six of them, which dates those examples to the 1991-92 season, screen printed rhododendron flowers are found on the bottom front and reverse of all ten examples. The sleeves and verso have been accented with dual layer tackle twill numbers while evidence of previously affixed nameplates is seen across the upper back of each. Exhibiting good game-wear on each included garment, some s that is heavier than others, game-wear is observed through sweat staining, pilling, stick marks, board burns, unrepaired holes, paint transfers, pills and pulls. Lorne Goldenberg has worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Windsor Spitfires, and the Ottawa 67s. He lectures internationally on a variety of topics, including stability ball exercises and ground-based sport conditioning, for groups such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Society of Weight Training Injury Specialists, provincial associations, and professional teams. He has written for the NSCA Journal of Strength and Conditioning, Ironman, Physical, Men’s Journal, Hockey Life, and Hockey Now.
