Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

Once you heard “My Sharona” in the summer 1979, you had to get The Knack. This dual-signed “Get The Knack” LP album cover is signed by frontman, the late Doug Fieger, and bassist Preston Niles. The album’s artwork echoed the cover of “Meet the Beatles”, a comparison that any band would be hard-pressed to live up to. This debut effort turned a lot of heads just the same with “Good Girls Don’t” enjoying plenty of airplay and chart time while “My Sharona” spent 10 straight weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Lead singer and rhythm guitarist Fieger, who died in 2010, placed a big bold black marker autograph below the album title, and Niles also signed in bold black marker above his curly locks. The 12 1/4" square cover has a bit of wear to the edges, most significantly to the middle of the spine, which has worn through. That can be framed out easily to make for a wonderful display piece. This American album cover comes with the Capitol record enclosed featuring the rainbow logo. Comes with JSA basic certification that includes a JSA sticker with certification number P27544 displayed.
