Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
The Pittsburgh Penguins saw something they liked about Zach Aston-Reese, an undrafted free agent after four years at Northeastern University. The American forward had eight points in 10 pro games with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins under his belt at the end of the 2016-17 AHL season when he took part in Pittsburgh’s 2017 development camp, which was held from June 28 to July 2. He had 29 points in 41 AHL games in 2017-18, and made his NHL debut, contributing six points in 16 games with Pittsburgh that season after participating in this camp. This Reebok size 56 Penguins jersey is the one Zach wore during the summer camp, which he took part in along with Pittsburgh’s top prospects. A big Penguins team crest is sewn on the front along with a UPMC sponsor’s patch on the right breast, which has some yellowish staining along the bottom, and a Reebok patch on the left breast. Reebok NHL size 56 tagging is sewn on the front tail and a size 56 flag tag sits in the back of the collar. A Reebok patch is sewn on the back of the neck. There are several reddish-brown spot stains on the right sleeve. There is a fight strap inside the back of the jersey and surname letters and No. 12 on the back are heat-pressed black vinyl. Comes with a Penguins LOA that states that it was used by Aston-Reese “at the 2017 Development Camp held June 28 - July 2, 2017.”
