Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Forever remembered as an Edmonton Oiler, it is largely forgotten that Wayne Gretzky started his WHA career with Indianapolis. Having played only 8 games for the Racers in 1978, any and all memorabilia having to do with The Great One in Indy is extremely hard to come by. This gorgeous Indianapolis Racers signed jersey is a sight to behold. With thick tackle twill crest and numbers, including “Gretzky” on back in dual color twill, there are absolutely no condition issues on this large tie-neck beauty to note. Wayne has placed a solid and dark black marker signature in the white area of the team crest, and it’s been hand-numbered 144/150. You might have a signed Oilers or Kings jersey in your collection, but do you have one of these? The UDA hologram number is BAF68317, and a UDA COA will accompany this beautiful signed jersey.
