Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
From the Hockey Diversified Inc. Goal Puck Program we have a puck used by Wayne Cashman to score the Boston Bruins' 191th goal of the season vs the New York Islanders, on December 18th, 1973 on home ice at the Boston Garden. Assisted by both Phil Esposito and Carol Vadnais, the marker was Cashman's fourteenth (14th) goal of the season and his second of the game, with a total of 277 goals scored by him over the course of his career. Netted at 6:50 of the third (3rd) period, it was Boston's fifth (5th) of seven (7) goals on the night, with Boston falling to the New York Islanders by a final score of 9-7. With the rubberized Bruins logo over the one face showing some wear/toning, the Goal Puck Program label placed over the other side is darkened/dirty but still sports legible notations. Finally, the puck itself shows some light wear/marks/abrasions over the surfaces as well as couple of small edge cuts. Of note, the puck itself displays with oily surfaces over both sides.
