Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
A member of the NHL All-Rookie Team in 1993, Vladimir Malakhov first spent seasons in his native Russia before making his NHL debut with the New York Islanders, and would later hoist the Stanley Cup in New Jersey. From his time in Montreal during the mid-1990s, we have a Canadiens jersey that was issued to Malakhov. Maska and size “56” labels are affixed to the collar (there is also a born-on date tag affixed with “5 94”), with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “38” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Malakhov” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Issued but never worn, there is some light staining beneath the front right shoulder. An LOA from the Montreal Canadiens will accompany.
