Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
A veteran of 248 National Hockey League games with the likes of the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers, Don Simmons would win three (3) straight Stanley Cups as a member of the Maple Leafs between 1962 and 1964 while also being named an All-Star in 1963, registering 15 wins in 28 games played. Offered here, we present this late-1950s photograph of Simmonds cut from a magazine that pictures him during his time as a member of the Boston Bruins and which has been signed by the netminder as well. Seen in game action competing against the New York Rangers, with the opposite side of the page appearing to show an image of Gump Worsley, the page measures roughly 6 3/4" x 9 3/4" and features fairly clean cut edges with some minor surface wear (heavier on the opposite side that shows Worsley) plus creasing and a couple tiny edge tears. Signed by Simmons underneath his image with a black ballpoint pen ink signature that displays without issue despite being on a fairly dark background, the signature has been certified by PSA/DNA as being "AUTHENTIC". Housed for preservation in an oversized PSA holder that displays wonderfully, don't miss out on this vintage offering for your all-important collection.
