Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, when his father was a member of the CHL's Oklahoma City Stars, Tyler Arnason grew up in Winnipeg and played his college hockey at St. Cloud State. Drafted by Chicago in 1998, Arnason played in parts of four seasons in Illinois with additional time in Ottawa and Colorado. This photo-matched Black Hawks jersey was worn by Arnason during the first half of the 2005-06 NHL season. Sporting a size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, the front of the jersey is decorated with Chicago's famed Indian head team crest that features chain-stitched details throughout. With crossed tomahawk alternate logo patches added over both shoulders that display the same style of chain-stitched embroidery, the sleeves and verso have been styled with the number "39" in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill numerals, while "Arnason" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed nameplate. Game-wear is light, with a few puck and stick marks to each sleeve. Getty Image #56983320 (Feb 11, 2006) has been matched to the washed-out dark marks over the lower left beneath the front band near the seam, and on the left elbow beneath the lower black striping band. The team patch is affixed to the inside hem, with an LOA from the Black Hawks to accompany.
