Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
A product of the Western Hockey League's Edmonton Oil Kings that would go on to be drafted 44th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Tristan Jarry has played his entire career with the club from Steeltown thus far and was named to the NHL All-Star Game in 2020 and 2022. A Memorial Cup champion in 2014, offered here is this Penguins jersey worn by Jarry during the 2019-20 season. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "58G" designations is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of both the NHL and Adidas have been placed over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Penguins team crest that features embroidered details throughout, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Jarry's number "35" in dual layer tackle twill numerals while "Jarry" has been spelt out in single layer yellow twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior of the jersey as well as a Penguins team tag inside the reverse hem that denotes the jersey as being a "Set 1 Game Jersey" offering, the piece shows game-wear via puck marks throughout the body and both sleeves as well as through a couple of light red post paint transfer spots over the right elbow and pilling at the end of the left cuff. With numerous loose threads and pilling found on the interior, the jersey is accompanied by a Penguins COA that matches the serial number over the team tag. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #1191093256 (December 30th, 2019 vs Ottawa) to the puck marks in the front crest and over the left sleeve.
