Spending 10 seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs beginning in 1955-56, Billy Harris won a trio of Stanley Cup championships with the blue and white, and later skated briefly for Detroit, Oakland and Pittsburgh. Harris also coached in the WHA after his playing days which included coaching Team Canada at the 1974 Summit Series against the Soviet Union. This lot offers a collection of 10 documents pertaining to Harris' time with the Leafs in the 1950s and 1960s, including a fine notice from 1963 on NHL letterhead signed by deceased HOFer Clarence Campbell in blue ballpoint, along with a Standard Assignment Agreement from 1953, and a Loan Agreement from 1956 both signed by fellow deceased HOFer Hap Day in dark ink. The remaining documents include a 1956 CN telegram regarding Harris sent by Hap Day, two file notes regarding injuries to Harris with one from 1962, the other, from 1963, a photocopy of Harris' 1964-65 NHL contract, a typed list of bonuses for Harris from 1957-58 to 1962-63, a typed letter from 1953 to Hap Day from the Toronto Marlboros regarding players including Harris, and a note to Harris requesting he contact Howie Meeker from 1957.
