Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Special international hockey game-worn jersey from Tomas Sandstrom’s personal collection is the one the All-Star forward wore representing Sweden at the 1983 world junior championship in the Soviet Union. Sandstrom had 12 points (nine goal, three assists) in seven games and was named to the tournament all-star team and given the IIHF Directorate Award as the top forward during the competition, beating out Mario Lemieux, among others. Tibas manufacturer’s tagging and size “6” flag tags are inside the left seam at the hip, which displays solid red paint transfer on the outside. “Sandstrom” is spelled out in heat-pressed vinyl letters applied to a sewn-on nameplate. The rubberized Tre Kronor crest on the crest has come flaking to the vinyl and the blue colors have faded throughout, but the yellow portion remains vibrantly colorful. Tibas patch is sewn on the left breast and more game wear shows in red paint transfer on the front right shoulder and both sleeves. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
