Currently in his 12th season with the Montreal Canadiens, Tomas Plekanec has also represented his native Czech Republic at the World Cup, World Championships and Winter Olympics. This Canadiens alternate captain’s away jersey was worn by the centerman in the 2015 Stanley Cup playoffs, and it’s been photo-matched. Size tagging is affixed to the collar including handwritten “5P”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the famous partially-embroidered CH team crest, the V-neck sweater has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the important Jean Beliveau “4” memorial patch over the right breast. A hologram numbered GUO4376 has been affixed to the reverse “4”, with a matching LOA from the Canadiens to accompany.
Visible game-use on the “Away Set 5P” jersey includes a few random marks on the lower front, with a few additional examples over the sleeves and reverse. We should also note that the jersey sports customized cuffs, with Velcro added to the interior of each. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, Getty Image #470889870 from April 22nd 2015 has been matched to the loose red thread on the interior of the #1 on the right sleeve, and to the white thread sewing pattern on the top area of the #4 on the same sleeve.
