Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2006-07 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
A Habs standout for over a dozen NHL seasons, Tomas Plekanec was traded to Toronto along with Kyle Baun just before the 2018 trade deadline. We have a Canadiens jersey that was issued to Plekanec for the 2010-11 season. A size “58” CCM label is affixed to the collar with handwritten “1B”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the famous CH team crest partially-embroidered, the “Away Set 1B” V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Plekanec” across the nameplate in single blue twill. The team patch (A02202) sits on the inside hem, while a hologram numbered “GU11408” has been affixed to the reverse “4”, with a matching LOA from the Canadiens to accompany.
Issued but never worn, the jersey remains in gorgeous like-new condition.
