Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
A four-year standout at the University of Connecticut, Todd Krygier went on to enjoy an NHL
career spanning over 500 games and 100 goals. He played for the Hartford Whalers, Anaheim
Ducks, and had two stints with the Washington Capitals. This game-worn jersey comes from the
1993–94 season, during which Krygier tallied 30 points across 66 games for the Caps.
This red Washington Capitals jersey is made by CCM and is tagged as a size “54” on the inside
collar. It features the Capitals’ 20th Anniversary patch stitched prominently on the right breast.
The number “21” is applied in white over navy tackle twill on both sleeves and the back, with
“KRYGIER” stitched in matching twill on a red nameplate. Five blue and white stars are sewn
along the lower sleeves and a white and navy CCM logo is stitched at the rear hem alongside
an NHL shield.
Evidence of game use is visible throughout the jersey. A stick mark appears across the “C” of the
front crest, while a small rip can be found just above the “A”. Additional faint stick marks are
visible on the right sleeve, and the left sleeve shows further stick marks along with a small board
burn near the cuff. A fight strap is firmly affixed inside the jersey.
