Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Drafted in the 2nd round of the 1992 MLB June Amateur Draft from Michigan State University by the Toronto Blue Jays, Tim Crabtree would make his Major League debut in 1995 with Toronto and go on to pitch a total of seven (7) years in the league, splitting his time between Toronto and the Texas Rangers. Finishing his career with a 4.20 ERA, offered here is this jersey worn by Crabtree as a member of the Blue Jays on Canada Day of 1996 (July 1st) against the Baltimore Orioles. A patriotic red coloured offering made by Russell Athletic, a Russell Athletic/Authentic Diamond Collection jock tag displaying a size "48" designation is affixed over the lower left on the front of the jersey along with an additional "100% Polyester" flag tag. Accented around the sleeve cuffs and collar with knitted striping patterns, a tag sewn to the inner collar reads "37-48-96-3". Styled over the front of the button up style garment with "Blue Jays" in dual layer blue-over-white tackle twill letters that have been individually sewn on in a gentle arch, a Blue Jays team crest is found underneath while Crabtree's number "37" has been added over the reverse in a matching style white-over-blue dual layer tackle twill number. Having had "Canada" spelt out in single layer white twill letters that have been sewn on in a gentle arch directly to the material of the jersey over the upper reverse, Toronto's 20th anniversary crest has been added over the right sleeve. Not seeing any action out of the bullpen during the game itself, the jersey is found to be in overall good condition while showing some stains over both the front and reverse.
