Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Sensational pieces for Toronto and crest collectors, this find is the type which Maple Leafs players, coaches and trainers sported on their blue leather team jackets during the amazing Cup runs of 1947 through 1949. Each wonderful creamy chenille shield crest boasts "World" and "Champions" above and below the years 1946-7, 1947-8 and 1948-9. All three woolen wonders have been preserved in near-perfect condition and measure 5" across at the widest point. Close inspection for tell-tale stitch holes reveals that these have never been affixed to a jacket. You'll be excited and pleased when these treasures arrive in the mail! Obtained from the family of former Leafs' captain Ted Kennedy, complete with their signed letter of provenance.
