Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Just the fourth captain in the storied history of the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL, Sylvio Mantha wore the prestigious "C" for a total of nine non-consecutive seasons beginning in 1926-27. A three-time Stanley Cup champion with the Habs, Mantha had his best season in 1929-30, where he scored 24 points in 44 games along with a pair of goals in the Stanley Cup final vs Boston. Enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1960, we offer the framed HOF crest that was given to Mantha upon his election - with these matching the crests on each member's HOF blazer. The predominantly yellow, green and gold crest has a torch with "Hockey Hall of Fame" in chain-stitched detailing, with a small plaque with "Sylvio Mantha Elected September 1960s" affixed to the bottom of the 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" frame. Exhibiting just light wear to the crest, frame and glass, an LOA from the Mantha family will accompany.
