Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Number #44 on the NHL all-time list for penalty minutes, Stu Grimson brought a much-needed rugged and dominant presence to any team he represented. Drafted by Detroit in 1983 and enjoying a lengthy career with eight different clubs, we offer an LA Kings jersey worn by the tough Vancouver native in 2000-01. A torn-away label is affixed to the collar with "60" size fly tag, with NHL and Koho crests to the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a tackle twill team crest and "Los Angeles" over the front band in silver twill, "32" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with alternate crown patches over each shoulder. Just light game-use is exhibited, with a few faint marks and burns to the sleeves, with a single team repair over the right elbow and a transfer mark over the reverse tail. Grimson has signed the reverse "2" in black marker, with the signature standing out nicely against the silver background. The "Set 2" team patch signed by the trainer resides on the inside hem, with a Kings/MeiGray LOA to accompany along with a MeiGray COR. There is also an Online Authentics sticker with serial number affixed at the top of the fight strap, with a matching Certificate of Registration included.
