Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Coming off arguably the greatest moment of his career, scoring the "Golden Goal" at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, Sidney Crosby took part in his 4th career NHL All-Star Game in 2010-11, while scoring 66 points in just 41 games that season, averaging a very impressive 1.609 points-per-game. This stick signed by the veteran superstar was used during the 2010-11 NHL season. A Reebok 11K Sickick III model, “Crosby 87” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with the original black tape in place over the blade and white spiral pattern over the handle with "87" handwritten. There is also a factory Crosby label with code affixed to the underside shaft. Game-wear includes a few marks, chips and abrasions to the surface mainly over the lower shaft, with light wear to the taped section of blade and over the taped handle. Crosby has signed the frontside blade in silver, with the signature standing out nicely against the black tape background. A JSA Auction LOA will accompany for the signature along with an additional LOA (this additional LOA mentions that the stick was used in 2011-12. While Crosby did use this model in both seasons, handwritten initials are seen on the taped section of the lower back handle on any images found from 2011-12 that show this area in the photos. No photos from 2010-11 show these initials).
