Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Cool Thrashers gamer worn by Czech-born d-man Richard Smehlik during the 2002-03 campaign, his lone season in Atlanta wedged between Buffalo, where it all began, and the New Jersey Devils, where he played his final 12 games before retiring. With the embroidered "Koho" patch on the outer collar and a size "56" tag inside, this jersey has a small scattering of marks and board burns throughout, although they don't jump out at you because of the dark colors. A couple of small and unrepaired holes are on the left sleeve, and light puckering is noticeable on the back number "42". On the inside hem is a MeiGray registration patch with numbers matching the accompanying LOA signed by representatives of MeiGray and the NHL.
