Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Drafted 5th overall by Dallas in 1996, and known for a devastating slap shot, Ric Jackman would end up playing just 123 games in the NHL spread over parts of eight seasons between five NHL teams. The Toronto native would also make the hockey rounds, starring on teams in a number of different leagues including the British Elite League, Slovak Extraliga, the ECHL, the Swiss National League and others. From his second of two seasons in Pennsylvania, where he scored 28 points in 49 games, we offer a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey worn by Jackman in 2005-06, which was the rookie season of teammate Sidney Crosby. A label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with Reebok and NHL crests placed over the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the Penguins team crest in use from 2002 to 2016, the solid black V-neck features "22" in oversized and textured tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Jackman” over the affixed nameplate in matching material. Regarding condition, game-use is light, with a bit of staining and a few marks to the lower left sleeve at the cuff. The team patch resides on the inside hem, denoting the garment as a "Set 1" specimen, with a COA from the Penguins to accompany.
