Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
A product of the Victoriaville Tigres in the QMJHL, Phillip Danault would be drafted 26th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and has gone on to play a total of 631 games in the National Hockey League thus far in his career, suiting up with the likes of Chicago as well as Montreal and Los Angeles. Offered here, we present this stick used by Danault in his first game as a member of the Canadiens on February 27th, 2016 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. A CCM Ribcore Reckoner model twig with "Danault" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original white tape job over both the handle/knob while the black tape that was once in place over the blade has been removed to facilitate Danault's flowing silver marker ink signature that displays without issue. Displaying light-to-moderate game-wear throughout, a handful of marks/abrasions are found over the lower shaft and heel while the shaft feels tacky/grippy to the touch and there is a crack in the blade that is worth mentioning for accuracy.
