Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
Trailing only Gordie Howe for the most all-time points at the time of his retirement in 1981, Phil Esposito secured over 700 goals throughout his HOF career, with selection to the NHL First All-Star Team six times. A veteran of 1282 games played in his National Hockey League career who won a pair of Stanley Cup championships, a pair of Hart Memorial Trophies and five (5) Art Ross Trophies, Esposito would be the first NHL player to eclipse the 100 point plateau. More than deserving of his Hockey Hall of Fame enshrinement in 1984 alongside Jacques Lemaire, Bernie Parent, Punch Imlach and John Milford, offered here is this Hockey Hall of Fame "Honoured Member" blazer issued to Esposito. Dating from the early-to-mid-1990s based on the styling, the navy blue coloured blazer features Hall of Fame logo buttons over the front and cuffs while a Hall of Fame crest has been affixed over the left breast. Produced by WM. H. Leishman for Tip Top Tailors, labels from each brand are found on the interior along with a size "46T" tag inside the right side pocket. Also sporting a "Made in Canada" label affixed to the inner collar, the jacket remains in overall excellent condition with all the buttons present and accounted for and no major signs of wear or damage except for a couple light marks and wrinkles. Hailing from Esposito's personal collection, the jacket comes accompanied by his signed LOA.
