Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Winning back-to-back Lady Byng Trophies in 1996 and 1997 as the League's most gentlemanly player, Paul Kariya holds numerous Anaheim Ducks and Nashville Predators team records. A veteran of 989 National Hockey League games over the course of a 15-year career, Kariya would win an Olympic gold medal in 2002 with Canada and be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017. Suiting up with the St. Louis Blues for the final three seasons of his NHL career, we have a photo-matched Blues jersey worn by the 2017 HOF inductee during his final NHL season, in 2009-10. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar with "3-16" handwritten (the date of the game the jersey was worn in), logo patches for both the NHL and Reebok have been added over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with the traditional Blues team crest with embroidered detailing, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Kariya's number "9" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, with "Kariya" across the nameplate in single white twill. Exhibiting light wear with no obtrusive marks, Getty Image #97799523 (March 16, 2010) has been matched to small extended treads on the middle circle of the "9" on the left sleeve, at the bottom right and top left areas. a Liebe logo has been heat-pressed into the inside hem, along with the date of "03/16/10". A number of documents will accompany from Resolution Photomatching explaining the photo-match, along with a pair of hardcopy photos showing the photo-match images.
