Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Addendum; description has been changed from the printed catalog version.
After contributing greatly to the Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup victory in 1991, Paul Coffey was dealt to the Los Angeles Kings on Feb 19th 1992. We have a Kings jersey that was worn by Coffey in 1991-92, his first of two seasons in California, where he saw action in only 10 games. Hailing from a previous season set (1989-90), Maska Ultrafil labeling with handwritten “48” sits affixed to the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest over the back bottom hem. Styled with an attractive Kings team crest that’s been partially embroidered, the solid black V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the NHL 75th anniversary patch over the right breast and LA Kings 25th anniversary crest over the left shoulder. A signed LOA from Paul Coffey will accompany.
Game-wear includes just a few small marks including a faint burn over the lower right sleeve, with signs of the fight strap being washed.
