Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
A three-time Stanley Cup champion with the Chicago Blackhawks, the club that made him the 1st overall pick of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Patrick Kane has become perhaps the greatest American born player to ever play in the National Hockey League, further cementing his surefire Hall of Fame legacy by capturing the Hart and Art Ross Trophy's in 2016. Also having played with the New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings in his illustrious NHL career thus far, offered here is this pair of gloves worn by Kane as a member of the Blackhawks during the period of the late-2010s/early-2020s, at some point between 2017 and 2022. Bauer Nexus 1N models in solid black with red and white accents, “Kane 88” is embroidered over the outside of each in white thread. Void of the usually penned number in black ink over the palm due to being re-palmed at some point and then not put back into rotation, the inside of both gloves have had the number "46" as well as six (6) black dots penned on the backside wrist guard in black marker ink. With just minimal game-wear being exhibited via a couple of small marks over each glove, all the images available from the time period that this model of gloves were being worn at no time show Kane wearing gloves that exhibit heavy use. Sporting "Bauer" embroidered into the cuff of each mitt and "Nexus 1N" over each thumb, don't miss out on these silky mitts worn by perhaps the best American born player to ever play in the NHL.
