This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
A longstanding member first of the Vancouver Maroons during the early-1920s and later as an original New York Ranger, Frank Boucher won Stanley Cup championships with the Blueshirts in 1928 and 1933. The 1958 HOF inductee also played a single season with the Ottawa Munitions during the First World War in 1917-18, along with his brother Bill, with the pair pictured on this original rare composite team photo. At approx 12” x 16”, there are cameo images of the players and management along with the city league trophy, with “1917-18” near the base. The photographer “S. J. Jarvis” of Ottawa appears at the bottom center, with the antique photo in stunning high grade, with light wear to the corners and paper residue on the reverse. We should also note that this image of Boucher has been utilized for his Wikipedia page.
